Sunday Scout Drop Off (meet at Scout Hut)

Due to new camp requirements we will first meet at 11:00 AM at The Scout Hut, then drive in a single convoy into Camp Robert Drake (approx 1.5 hour drive).

Saturday Pick Up

Pick up from The Scout Hut like normal by 12:00 PM Sunday.  Additional Information to be provided as time gets closer.

Fees Details

  • Youth Early Bird Fees: $325  (before March 1st)
  • Youth Regular Fee: $365 (after March 1st)
  • Full Time Adult Fee:
    • 1-8 Scouts 1 adult free
    • 9-16 Scouts 2 adults free
    • 17-24 Scouts 3 adults free
    • 25-32 Scouts 4 adults free
    • Additional Adult Leaders $150.00 each

  • Youth Early Bird Fees: $470  (before April 1st)
  • Youth Regular Fee: $495 (after April 1st)
  • Full Time Adult Fee: $235

 

Camp Details

Merit Badge selection for D-bar-A Scout Ranch will be available in early March 2024.  Many merit badges have class capacities.  Classes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Camp Robert Drake is a Boy Scout Camp in the heart of the Midwest that serves the units of Prairielands Council and scouts from units across the country.  Just a short distance off the Oakwood exit of Interstate 74, Camp Drake is a wilderness gem of Central Illinois featuring great terrain and the beautiful Salt Fork River.  We look forward to seeing you at camp!

Here is a brief overview of some of the programs available while at camp for your new and returning Scouts.

The camp offers over 50 merit badges including Horsemanship and the Poliwog program for first year Scouts.

What to Bring

  • One (1) Package of Cookies
  • BSA Health Forms (all parts filled out, including the examination)
  • Class A Shirt
  • Scout Handbook
  • Notebook, Pen or Pencil
  • Clothes & underwear, socks for 6 days (plus a few replacements)
  • Jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt
  • Swimming trunks
  • Comfortable shoes (if taking Boating or Swimming need pair to wear in pool)
  • Boots
  • Rain gear
  • Water bottle
  • Sleeping bag or blankets
  • Pillow
  • Toiletries
  • Sunscreen
  • Insect repellent (non-aerosol please)
  • Flashlight & batteries
  • Watch
  • Personal first aid kit

  • Backpack, duffel bag, or tote for transporting gear

What NOT to Bring

  • Cell phones (little to no cell coverage and no power to recharge)
  • Radios (do kids have these anymore?)
  • Media Players
  • Electronic games or device
  • Fireworks and Explosives
  • Matches
  • Large or fixed blade knives (camp rules)
